What is Tooth Extraction?
Tooth extraction is the complete removal of a tooth. We at Perfect Smiles recommend extraction for a few conditions such as advanced tooth decay or severely broken teeth that are non restorable.
With the years of experience of our professional dentists, your treatment will be a success.

When do you need to go for a Tooth Extraction?
Tooth extractions are done when trauma or decay causes severe damage to teeth. Damaged or decaying teeth can actually spread infection to surrounding healthy teeth. If this occurs, then there are sure chances of the entire oral structure getting infected which may turn into a much more dangerous scenario.
Wisdom teeth removal is done when there is dental shifting, or overcrowding. Teeth may also need to be removed before orthodontic treatment and denture placement. We decide the nature of the treatment depending on the number of teeth to be removed, their location, and the state at which they are during the time of the tooth extraction treatment.
Once all of the above factors are considered we plan out a suitable treatment method and recommend a simple or a surgical teeth removal process.
What is the procedure for tooth extraction?
We use a local anesthetic with simple tooth extractions to numb the area. The problematic tooth is wiggled and removed from its socket using specialised instruments.
If the broken tooth is inaccessible then a surgical approach is advisable. The surgical procedure includes incisions into the soft tissues; this enables access to the underlying tooth structure in a much easier manner. At times, we may have to remove the tooth in multiple small pieces to make the tooth extraction procedure easier; this doesn’t affect the other teeth or the oral structures.
Our experienced dentist will ensure you a safe and comfortable tooth removal experience. This has been true for 100% of our patients who have suffered from one or more teeth extractions!. We take complete care and responsibility for patients who require surgical teeth removal and make this a comfortable experience.
Wisdom Teeth Removal
A wisdom tooth are the third molars erupting at the back corners of the upper and lower areas of an adult jaw. In most cases, people experience issues from these wisdom teeth as they erupt, causing improper bites, crowding, inflammation and other problems.
Wisdom tooth extractions help to prevent future problems such as discomfort, inflammation and other infections. Even if you have to have all four wisdom teeth removed, it will not reduce your ability to chew, speak, or live a normal life.
Symptoms for an impacted wisdom tooth that may need a wisdom teeth removal:

- Swelling of the jawline
- Infection and inflammation
- Severe pain
- Swelling of gums
